Joshua Hogue

Josh joined our team as a Tax Technician in the summer of 2024 and returned in September 2025 as a Tax Analyst. With a strong academic foundation and an early start in public accounting, Josh has quickly developed expertise in cross-border taxation, focusing primarily on Canada–U.S. personal and corporate tax matters.

Before joining Northward Tax Professional Corporation, Josh worked as an Associate in the Insurance Claims and Loss Litigation team at a regional firm and later as a Staff Accountant in U.S. Corporate Tax at a national firm. These experiences allowed him to gain a well-rounded understanding of both the technical and practical aspects of taxation, which he now applies to help clients navigate complex cross-border tax challenges.

Josh is due to graduate with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Business Finance, with a minor in Accounting, in December 2025. However, his professional journey is only beginning as he now works towards his accreditation as both a U.S. and Canadian CPA.

Outside of work, Josh values service and community. He spent two years on a church mission in Seattle, Washington from 2019 to 2021, and continues to give back through his volunteer work at the Edmonton Food Bank.

When not assisting clients or studying, Josh enjoys long-distance running, weightlifting, and playing just about any sport. He and his wife love to travel and try new cuisines together. A fluent French speaker, Josh brings both global perspective and cultural understanding to his work with cross-border clients.
